Samsung's latest consumer ultra high definition4K TVs will be on sale in the UK this month. The Samsung UE65F9000 and UE55F9000 are 65- and 55-inch sets respectively and feature the same LED backlighting technology as other high-end televisions from the manufacturer, but with fourtimes the resolutionofFull HD.
The company already brought the 85-inch Samsung S9UHD TV to the UK in April, but these new TVs come with more affordableprice tickets, the 55-incher will retail for a penny shy of£4,000, while the 65-inch version will be £6,000.
Other featuresinclude the company's proprietary Quadmatic Picture Engine for contrast levels, brightness and image detail, and PrecisionBlack to ensure black levels are deep and foreboding.
Both models come with quad-coreprocessorsto upscale SD and HD content to 4K.
The F9000 series tellies have all ofSamsung's Smart TV functionality and S Recommendation, the voice interaction-based technology that helps viewersfind contentsuited to them more easily. DTS Sound Premium 5.1 is on-boardfor home cinema-style audio output, while the speakers are capable ofup to 70W of power.
Specialist retailers will be offeringboth sets.
