LG Display intros world's slimmest full HD LCD panel for smart phones

South Korea-based LG Display has confirmed its plans to unveil the slimmest full HD LCD panel measuring 5.2 inches for smart phones. The display in question is only 2.2 mm thin and sports a 2.3 mm bezel. In an official statement, the company refers to this display as the narrowest among the current range of full HD LCD panels for mobile devices.
LG Display goes on to add that its full HD LCD panel will offerusers a larger visible display space on their smartphones – a plus consideringhow much smartphones are used these days to fulfilmultimedia means. In additionto that, LG Display claims that the panel will make deviceseasier to grip and lighter in weight.
The slim panel embodies LG Display’s Advanced One-Glass-Solution (OGS) fora bettertouchscreen experience. In building the displaypanel, LG Display addsthat Dual FlexiblePrinted Circuitswere insertedbetween thepanel and touch film, thereby reducingthenumber of lines on thepanel by over 30 percent. The full HD display utilises 1080 x 1920 pixels comprisingRGB sub-pixels. LG Display further puts its brightness levels at 535 nits at maximum.
