Street Fighter 4 update will have five new characters

Street Fighter 4—a game that is now five years old—is getting a new major update. According to theCapcom Unity blog, thecompany will be adding five characters to theever-popular fighting game. With the update, thegame will also be losingits SuperStreet Fighter 4 moniker, and will instead be dubbed Ultra Street Fighter 4.
The update will be available to players for $14.99 (Rs 900 approx) digitally. It will also be sold through retail channels for$39.99 (Rs 2,400 approx). The retail version of theupdate will includeall theDLC characters that have been released forthe game so far as well as all the DLC characters that will be making it to thegame inthe future.
The new characters in theupdate are Rolento, Ivy, Hugo, Elena and a mysterious fifthcharacter. The fifthcharacter will be a completely original one designed from scratch. These characters are making their appearance ina mainlineStreet Fighter game after a long time. However, four of these characters have already made it to another recentfighting game—Street Fighter X Tekken. The Capcom Unity blog points out that X Tekken plays vastly differentlyfrom Street Fighter 4, however. Elena's last appearance ina mainlineStreet Fighter game was Street Fighter 3: Third Strike.
Along with the new characters, there will also be some changesto the balance of the game. Namely, characters like Chun-Li and Balrog will be more focused on offense instead of theirdefensive gameplay. This has been done by increasing Chun-Li’s health and giving her more knockdowns, and increasing therange of Balrog’s bread-and-butter attack. Other characters, such as Duddley and T. Hawk are also getting changes. Overall, this is set to be one of thebiggestupdates to thegame and will vastly change theoverall metagame of Street Fighter 4.
